Job summary

Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College is seeking an experienced IT Technician to support the daily running of the IT Department and help maintain the school network for staff and students.

The role is 8am-4pm during term time plus INSET (5 days) plus 2 weeks, with some evenings for school events. You will work both independently and in a team, contribute to IT installation and maintenance across the site, and support a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software.
• Developing knowledge of desktop computers and mobile devices.
• Able to work independently and with initiative.
• Conscientious, honest and reliable; flexible and proactive.
• Good communication skills and professional manner.
• Strong problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the IT department in day-to-day operations.
• Maintain the school’s network and provide technical support for staff and students.
• Assist in all aspects relating to the support, maintenance and development of the School’s IT and equipment.
• Participate in IT installation and maintenance across the school, including safe lifting and movement of equipment.
• Contribute to a safe and secure learning environment by supporting IT infrastructure.
