Job summary

Slough and Eton Church of England Business and Enterprise College is seeking an experienced IT Technician to support the day-to-day running of our IT Department. The role runs 8am-4pm during term time, plus INSET days and two weeks, with some evenings for school events.

You will maintain the school’s network and provide technical support for staff and students, and assist with IT installation and maintenance across the campus. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office software.
• Developing knowledge of desktop computers and mobile devices.
• Able to work independently and with initiative.
• Conscientious, honest and reliable.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional manner and common sense.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the school’s network and provide technical support for staff and students.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of IT across the school.
• Support the physical aspects of IT installation and maintenance, including lifting and moving equipment.
