Blessed William Howard Catholic High School in Stafford is seeking an IT & Systems Engineer to ensure our IT systems and digital services run smoothly across the school. You will provide friendly, responsive first-line support to students, staff and parents, resolving day-to-day issues and maintaining devices, software and digital platforms.

Working with the Systems Administrator and SLT, you’ll help deliver reliable technology that supports teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a customer-facing technical helpdesk role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of maintaining Microsoft 365.
• Experience of troubleshooting a range of operating systems, IT systems and hardware.
• A basic knowledge of network infrastructure.
• An awareness of IT security principles and data protection.
• GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics.
• Education to at least A-Level or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provide responsive, customer-facing first-line IT support.
• Manage and prioritise helpdesk tickets to minimise disruption to learning.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot devices, hardware, software and digital platforms.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across AD, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.
• Identify and investigate recurring technical issues.
• Monitor IT systems and services proactively.
• Maintain documentation and assist with asset management and audits.
• Support audiovisual equipment for assemblies and events.
• Help colleagues develop IT knowledge where recurring needs are identified.
• Support safeguarding through monitoring of web-filter alerts and device filtering.
