Principal Recruitment is seeking an HR Administrator for a busy school environment in Greater London, starting 2nd October 2026. You will provide essential administrative support to the HR team and help manage staff records and onboarding.

Ideal candidates will have excellent organisation, attention to detail, and strong IT skills. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday with potential to extend beyond the initial contract.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HR administration or general administration.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A professional, approachable and reliable manner.
  • Experience working within a school or education setting would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Preparing contracts, letters and other HR documentation
  • Supporting with pre-employment checks, including references and DBS documentation
  • Maintaining staff absence and attendance records
  • Assisting with payroll and timesheet administration where required
  • Responding to staff queries professionally and promptly
  • Supporting the organisation and maintenance of confidential HR files
  • Assisting with general school administration when required
  • Ensuring HR processes are completed accurately and within deadlines

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised HR Administrator to join their team from 2nd October 2026, following the half-term period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is looking to develop their career within a busy school environment. You will provide essential administrative support to the HR team, helping to ensure that staff records, recruitment processes and day-to-day HR administration are managed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HR team
