Responsibilities

• Preparing and administering medication
• Preparing and administering gastro feeds
• Maintaining accurate records in relation to medications and feeds and training
• Liaising with the nursing team and class staff to arrange medical training
• Supporting pupils’ healthcare
• Supporting pupils with a range of medical needs, including complex, ongoing and emergency healthcare needs or needs required by specific pupils, in line with care plans, training and competency sign-off.
• Supporting the personal care needs of pupils
• Working in co-operation with other team members and health professionals
• Being responsible for ordering, stocktaking and replenishing first aid supplies across the school
