Cover People is seeking a compassionate School Nurse / First Aider for a secondary school in Bramhall, Stockport. You will support students and staff with medical needs, provide first aid, and help with day-to-day wellbeing.

Ideally you hold a current first aid qualification and have experience with children or young people in a school-like environment. The role emphasizes safeguarding, confidentiality and professional collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Current, relevant First Aid qualification.
• Experience providing first aid or medical support.
• Experience with children or young people, ideally in a school setting.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.

Responsabilités

• Provide first aid to students and staff in response to accidents and medical incidents.
• Assess students who become unwell during the school day and determine next steps.
• Support students with ongoing medical conditions and healthcare needs.
• Administer medications according to school policy and training.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records.
• Liaise with parents and carers regarding student illness and medical needs.
• Escalate to emergency services when required.
• Support wellbeing concerns and refer to appropriate staff or services.
• Maintain a clean, stocked medical room and follow safeguarding procedures.
