Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting an experienced School First Aider to manage the First Aid Room within a secondary school. You will provide appropriate first aid support to students throughout the school day and work closely with staff to ensure first aid procedures are followed and students receive timely care when required.

The role requires current first aid qualifications suitable for a secondary school environment and prior experience in a similar setting with pupils.

Qualifications

• Current first aid qualifications suitable for a secondary school setting.
• Experience working with students in a school environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the First Aid Room.
• Provide first aid and support to students.
• Assess and respond to injuries and illnesses in line with procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of first aid incidents.
• Contact parents/carers where required by policy.
• Liaise with school staff regarding medical needs.
• Monitor and maintain first aid supplies and equipment.
• Ensure the First Aid Room is clean, safe and stocked.
• Follow safeguarding, medical and health and safety procedures.
• Support students returning to lessons after treatment.
