Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking a Catering Technician to support practical catering sessions in an educational setting. You will prepare equipment, ingredients and ensure a safe, organized kitchen environment for staff and learners.

You will work with teaching staff to guide learners in cooking techniques while upholding food safety standards. This role is based in the East of England and involves hands-on kitchen support.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation, catering or hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: experience in an educational setting.

Responsabilités

• Preparing equipment and ingredients for practical sessions in line with staff requirements.
• Supporting learners during practical sessions with safe use of equipment and cooking techniques.
• Maintaining hygiene standards and carrying out routine safety checks on kitchen equipment.
• Managing stock, deliveries and the organisation of kitchen areas and resources.
