Class Act is recruiting a Food Technician for a long-term temporary, part-time role starting October 2026 at an 11–18 secondary school in Witney. The Technician will prepare ingredients and equipment, support practical lessons, and help maintain kitchen facilities.

The role emphasizes safety, food hygiene, and teamwork within a supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation or a technician role, with a Food Hygiene qualification being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food preparation, catering, or technician role is desirable.
• Food Hygiene qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
• Supporting the delivery of Food Technology lessons
• Maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring resources are readily available
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Cleaning and maintaining food preparation areas
• Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
• Supporting students during practical activities where appropriate
