Job summary

EQUANS are looking for a Multiskilled Electrician to join our Lancashire and Blackburn Schools contract in Blackburn. This permanent full-time role offers 40 hours per week and a competitive salary and benefits package.

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and diagnostic work across 11 schools, and support energy management while complying with safety standards and site policies. Full UK driving license and on-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical maintenance engineer with 18th edition and testing units.
• Experience in FM maintenance environment, ideally schools/education.
• Experience with fire door maintenance and on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on building fabric and plant.
• Provide technical solutions for PPM work and fault rectification.
• Respond to faults, diagnose issues, and communicate solutions.
• Maintain records and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Work flexibly with other trades and respond to standby rota.
