Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a School First Aider to provide first aid and welfare support at a school in Telford. The role runs from 8:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, and is temporary in nature.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid First Aid certificate and have previous experience in a school or educational setting. Calm and confident handling emergencies is essential, with accurate record-keeping and safeguarding adherence.

• Previous school or education experience would be desirable.
• Calm and confident when dealing with emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Providing first aid to pupils and staff when required.
• Responding appropriately to accidents, injuries and illness.
• Assessing and treating minor injuries in line with your level of training.
• Maintaining accurate records of first aid incidents.
• Supporting pupils who become unwell during the school day.
• Contacting parents/carers where necessary and following school procedures.
• Ensuring first aid supplies are appropriately maintained.
• Working closely with school staff to promote pupil health, safety and wellbeing.
• Maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures.
