Job summary

Spire Church of England Learning Trust is seeking a Finance & Operations Administrator to work closely with the Headteacher and school leadership. You will help manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting to support strategic planning and ensure efficient resource use for teaching and learning.

You will oversee daily financial operations, payroll support, compliance and asset management, while building strong relationships with staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, organisational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with stakeholders.
• Experience in financial management, budgeting and financial administration is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including purchasing, invoices, payments, banking and account reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to secure additional funding, grants and income.
• Oversee financial compliance, audits, procurement and value for money.
• Lead financial and operational administration of Wraparound Care.
• Check monthly payroll reports and support staff with pay-related queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records, asset inventories, licences and statutory returns.
• Support risk management and ensure compliance with Trust policies and statutory requirements.
