Job summary

The role covers budgeting, forecasting, reporting and ensuring strict financial governance within a busy school federation.

You will manage day-to-day finances, drive efficiency, seek funding opportunities, and support safeguarding and compliance frameworks in line with trust policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management, budgeting and financial administration.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including purchasing, invoices, payments, banking and account reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to secure additional funding, grants and income.
• Oversee financial compliance, audits, procurement, contracts and value for money.
• Lead the financial and operational administration of the school's Wraparound Care provision.
• Check monthly payroll reports and support staff with pay-related queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records, asset inventories, licences and statutory returns.
• Work with colleagues to maintain effective risk management and ensure compliance with Trust policies and statutory requirements.
