Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting a School Caretaker in East London for an ongoing temp-to-perm position. The role involves daily maintenance, basic repairs, and ensuring the school building and grounds are secure, with opening in the morning and closing at night.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in a caretaker or facilities role, and will be required to complete DBS declarations and provide two professional references.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as a caretaker or facilities professional.
• Ability to carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs.
• Experience in managing building security and opening/closing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
• Ensure the building and grounds are secure when not in use
• Open the building in the morning and lock it at the end of the day
• Ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are checked regularly to ensure they are operational
• Take responsibility for ordering equipment relevant to your role
