Teaching Vacancies is seeking a dedicated Building Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on keeping the school site safe, secure and well-maintained.

You will be responsible for opening/closing, routine maintenance, grounds cleanliness, health and safety oversight, and coordinating with contractors. The successful candidate will work both independently and with others to support daily school operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caretaking or facilities role is essential.
• Practical, proactive attitude and pride in work.
• Solid understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and approachable, committed to supporting the school community.

Responsabilités

• Opening and closing the school site as required.
• Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds.
• Monitoring health and safety across the site and reporting any issues.
• Carrying out and maintaining statutory checks and records.
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing works where necessary.
• Managing site security, including alarms and access.
• Supporting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities and events.
