Job summary

Netherthorpe Primary School is seeking a dedicated Building Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on keeping the site safe, secure and well-maintained, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing, routine maintenance, and managing security.

The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team, prioritising health and safety and working closely with contractors to ensure high standards across the school site.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the school site as required.
• Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs, and general DIY tasks.
• Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the school grounds.
• Monitor health and safety across the site and report issues.
• Carry out and maintain statutory checks and records.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works when necessary.
• Manage site security, including alarms and access.
• Set up rooms and spaces for school activities and events.
