Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Site Supervisor for a welcoming primary school in Edgware, North West London. You will be responsible for the safety, security, maintenance and smooth daily operation of the school buildings, grounds and facilities, ensuring a safe environment for pupils and staff.

As primary duties include keyholder responsibilities, routine maintenance and minor repairs, health and safety compliance, and supervising contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a site supervision or similar role, preferably in education or public sector.
• Practical DIY skills (plumbing, carpentry, painting) and basic building safety knowledge.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude around children.

Responsibilities

• Site security: act as keyholder for opening/closing and alarm systems.
• Maintenance & repairs: carry out routine maintenance and minor DIY tasks.
• Health & safety: perform safety checks including fire alarms, emergency lighting, water hygiene, and play area inspections.
• Grounds & contractor management: keep grounds safe and coordinate external contractors.
• Janitorial & facilities: oversee cleaning standards and assist with moving equipment and events.
