Underwood West Academy is seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to join our vibrant school community. You will help ensure the site is safe, clean and welcoming for children, staff, families and visitors, enabling excellent teaching, learning and wellbeing.

With support from the Site Manager, you will carry out maintenance tasks, assist with health & safety duties, and manage records digitally. The role requires initiative, reliability and good IT skills, with hours and weeks negotiable,

Qualifications

• Experience completing inspections, checks and monitoring reports.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Confidence using school software and digital reporting tools.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the school building and grounds to a high standard.
• Assist with Health & Safety audits and risk mitigation.
• Manage records and data via the Trust compliance system (SmartLog).
• Liaise with contractors and oversee general maintenance tasks.
• Carry out basic plumbing, joinery and decor as required.
