Buckler’s Mead Academy in Yeovil seeks a dedicated Facilities Operative to maintain buildings, contents and grounds across two secondary schools. The role is full-time and permanent, with shifts and year-round duties, reporting to the Premises Manager.

Key responsibilities include maintenance, health and safety compliance, and secure opening/locking of premises. Excellent teamwork and adaptability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong record-keeping and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Premises Manager with maintenance, servicing, procurement, health and safety tasks.
• Ensure premises are unlocked at start of day and secured at close, acting as master key holder.
