Job summary

Bowbrook House School is seeking a reliable, practical and enthusiastic Maintenance Operative to join our site team. The role combines building and grounds maintenance, health and safety compliance and site support to keep the school safe, secure and fully operational.

You will undertake a varied role, carrying out routine repairs and statutory checks, assisting with school events and maintaining outdoor learning spaces, while working under the direction of the Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Has practical maintenance, facilities, estates, grounds or trade experience.
• Can work independently and use initiative.
• Has a good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Is able to undertake physical duties both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
• Has excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
• Works effectively as part of a team.
• Has a positive, flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Experience of working within a school, educational or similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
