Job summary

Claires Court School is seeking a School Facilities and Maintenance Technician to join the Estates Team. This permanent, full-time role tackles repairs, basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical tasks across our sites, ensuring buildings and grounds are safe, welcoming and ready for the school day.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime; duties include doors/windows/floors/furniture upkeep, minor plumbing/electrical work, and seasonal grounds tasks, in a

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or facilities-related work.
• Reliable, organized and able to work independently.
• Electrical or plumbing qualification advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General repairs to doors, windows, locks, flooring and furniture, plus painting, decorating and basic carpentry.
• Minor plumbing and electrical work within your competence, including fault finding and sourcing suitable parts.
• Keeping outdoor areas safe and tidy, clearing drains and gutters, and supporting seasonal grounds work.
• Setting up furniture and equipment for examinations, assemblies, parents' evenings and sporting events.
• Handling deliveries and driving company vehicles to collect materials or move equipment between local school sites.
• Supporting swimming pool maintenance, working with contractors and completing routine safety checks.
