Job summary

Claires Court School in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated School Facilities and Maintenance Technician. This full-time, 52-week role runs Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with start in November 2026.

You will tackle repairs, fault finding and planned maintenance across our school sites to keep buildings, facilities and grounds safe and ready for the day. You will work closely with the Estates Team, take ownership of tasks, and be a valued member of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or facilities maintenance is essential.
• Comfortable with hands-on repairs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• General repairs to doors, windows, locks, flooring and furniture, plus painting, decorating and basic carpentry.
• Minor plumbing and electrical work within your competence, including fault finding and sourcing suitable parts.
• Keeping outdoor areas safe and tidy, clearing drains and gutters, and supporting seasonal grounds work.
• Setting up furniture and equipment for examinations, assemblies, parents’ evenings and sporting events.
• Handling deliveries and driving company vehicles to collect materials or move equipment between local school sites.
• Supporting swimming pool maintenance, working with contractors and completing routine safety checks.
• Opening and securing buildings, supporting occasional emergency callouts and following health and safety procedures.
