Job summary

St Michael's Community Academy in Crewe is seeking a reliable cleaner to maintain high levels of cleanliness across the school. You will join a caring, enthusiastic staff team supervised by the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a welcoming learning environment.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow COSHH and health and safety rules, restock supplies, and assist with waste disposal and school-wide cleaning programmes during designated periods. A supportive Trust culture awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning to high standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH).
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning of allocated areas to high standards.
• Operate/domestic and industrial cleaning equipment following training.
• Store equipment safely and securely and dispose of waste.
• Follow health and safety regulations (COSHH) and report hazards.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children in line with academy policy.
• Undertake special cleaning programmes during closures or designated periods.
