St Michael's Community Academy in Crewe is seeking a reliable cleaner to maintain high levels of cleanliness across the school. You will join a caring, enthusiastic staff team supervised by the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a welcoming learning environment.

You will operate cleaning equipment, follow COSHH and health and safety rules, restock supplies, and assist with waste disposal and school-wide cleaning programmes during designated periods. A supportive Trust culture awaits.

Formación

• Experience in cleaning to high standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH).
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake cleaning of allocated areas to high standards.
• Operate/domestic and industrial cleaning equipment following training.
• Store equipment safely and securely and dispose of waste.
• Follow health and safety regulations (COSHH) and report hazards.
• Promote safeguarding and welfare of children in line with academy policy.
• Undertake special cleaning programmes during closures or designated periods.

The successful candidate will be working alongside a team of caring, enthusiastic, dedicated staff, who are well-supported by their Senior Leadership Team., To undertake cleaning duties to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the school, as directed., 1. Undertake cleaning of allocated areas in line with specified standards and as directed 2. Operate / use domestic and industrial cleaning equipment and materials, following appropriate training 3. Store allocated equipment and materials safely and securely 4. Perform duties in line with health and safety regulations (COSHH) and take action where hazards are identified, report serious hazards to line manager immediately 5. Collect and dispose of waste 6. Refill and replace soap, towels and other materials 7. Undertake specialised cleaning programmes during school closures or other designated periods 8. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the academy, raising any concerns following academy protocol/procedures 9. Any other duties appropriate to the post.
