Job summary

Broad Horizons Education Trust is seeking a dedicated caretaker for North Walsham infant and Junior Schools. The post is 17.5 hours per week all year round, Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 6pm, in a busy estates team.

The role involves maintenance, repairs and ensuring the school grounds remain clean, safe and compliant with health and safety standards. Applicants should have good administrative, communication and ICT skills, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic maintenance, building repairs and school premises safety is welcomed.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; flexible and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic maintenance and building repairs within the school.
• Keep the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy.
• Support health and safety compliance, COSHH, asbestos and legionella where required.
