Caretaker
- Annual Salary: £25,614 per annum, Pro Rata £14,235 per annum

- Thurs 8am until 4.30pm, Friday 2pm until 10pm
- 24 Sundays in term time - 8pm-8pm 1 hour break
We are seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our Estates Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and be proficient in various technical aspects related to maintenance and caretaking. This role requires someone who can work independently, is punctual, and reliable.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out building maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, and new work as needed.
- Manage basic plumbing tasks, electrical consumables replacements, and attend to faults, repairs, and breakdowns.
- Ensure the security of buildings by locking/unlocking facilities and managing anti-intruder alarms.
- Set up for college events and prepare rooms or marquees as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the estate, including cleaning gullies, gutters, and drains, and managing refuse removal.
- Drive college vehicles as required for various tasks and maintain them.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and report any breaches.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A good level of literacy and numeracy.
- A current, clean driving licence.
- A sound track record of work in relevant areas of construction or maintenance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high standards of work.
- Experience in a similar caretaking or maintenance role is highly desirable.
