Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience is advantageous.
• Practical approach to repairs and general upkeep.
• Good awareness of health and safety.
• Reliable and well organised.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail when inspecting facilities.
• Flexible and willing to assist with a variety of duties.
• Willingness to complete all required safeguarding and background checks.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Inspect school buildings and outdoor areas for defects and hazards.
• Assist with opening and securing the premises as required.
• Ensure communal spaces are tidy and free from avoidable hazards.
• Report maintenance issues requiring further attention.
• Help move furniture and prepare rooms for meetings and activities.
• Assist with deliveries and equipment storage.
• Support site security and report any concerns.
• Assist contractors and maintenance personnel when needed.
• Follow health and safety guidance and school procedures.
