Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) invites applications for a Mobile Catering Assistant based in Coleraine. You will assist in the daily operation of the Catering Unit under the direction of the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor, helping deliver a hygienic service and promote meals.

The role covers basic food preparation, simple cooking, serving meals, maintaining dining areas, and supporting meal promotion to pupils and parents.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages, including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points.
• Transferring and serving meals and snacks.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining dining area and liaising with central kitchen where applicable.
• Preparing dining areas, setting tables and serving points as required.
• Cleaning kitchen/servery, dining room and equipment.
• Recording temperatures for control purposes.
• Carrying out duties to comply with legal requirements and school policies.
