Job summary

Bradford Girls' Grammar School is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team across Bradford Girls’ Grammar School and Lady Royd Primary School. You will help prepare and serve meals, maintain hygiene, and support safe food handling for pupils and staff.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable team player with good communication skills, a positive work ethic and a commitment to customer service. This is a permanent, term-time role working 15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable.
• Willing to learn and develop skills through training and professional development opportunities.
• Positive team player with good communication, strong work ethic and commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• Set up and clear dining areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash up and assist with dishwashing.
• Support stock control and record-keeping processes.
• Ensure food safety standards are met and pupil allergen requirements are followed.
