Job summary

Toot Hill School is seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our busy team. This permanent, part-time role (20 hours per week, term time only) offers a rewarding opportunity to help maintain a clean, safe learning environment for our students.

You will carry out daily cleaning in classrooms, corridors, toilets and offices, with duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting and waste management. The position is subject to safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• To work as part of a team, undertaking general cleaning duties in classrooms, hallways, toilets, offices and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum floors and sanitize toilets, sinks and high-touch surfaces.
• Waste management including emptying bins and disposing of potentially contaminated materials.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to ensure timely repairs and health and safety compliance.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment; report malfunctions.
• Follow COSHH regulations and safeguarding policies.
