Job summary

Toot Hill School in Nottingham is seeking a reliable cleaner to join our team. The role involves carrying out general cleaning duties across classrooms, corridors, toilets and offices to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

You will work 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hours to be agreed at interview. The contract is permanent, term time plus two weeks (41 weeks per year), reflecting our school calendar and needs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team, performing general cleaning duties in classrooms, hallways, toilets, offices and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, dust and vacuum floors; clean and sanitise toilets, sinks and high-touch surfaces.
• Waste management: empty bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to ensure timely repairs and health & safety compliance.
• Maintain cleaning tools and equipment and report malfunctions.
• Follow COSHH regulations and safe working practices; safeguard students per safeguarding policies.
