Middlesbrough Development Corporation is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Officer to assist children and pedestrians at the Thorntree Primary Academy crossing point. The role is outdoor and requires calm reliability during morning and afternoon school runs.

Full training will be provided, and the position is term-time only with a fixed 10-hour week schedule. Uniform is supplied for the role, ensuring a professional appearance and safety at all times.

Formación

• Awareness of the Highway Code is advantageous but training will be provided.
• Experience working with children or young people is beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Help children and pedestrians cross safely at the designated school crossing.
• Operate the crossing point at Thorntree Primary Academy during morning and afternoon school runs.
• Maintain calm, reliable presence to ensure a safe crossing for all users.

We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure team as a School Crossing Patrol Officer.

If you enjoy working outdoors, meeting people and would like to provide a valuable service to the community, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a calm, reliable, enthusiastic School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team helping to keep our children and pedestrians safe on their school journey, assisting children and adults across the road on their way to and from school each morning and afternoon during school term times. You will primarily be serving the school community of Thorntree Primary Academy at the crossing point on The Greenway - outside of the school. An awareness of the Highway Code, together with experience of working with children and young people, would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given.

• Full uniform, including waterproof clothing will be provided.

Please note that this post is 10 hours per week - 08:10 - 09:10 & 14:45 - 15:45 Monday - Friday, term time only.
