Job summary

Middlesbrough Development Corporation in Middlesbrough is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Officer to help keep children and pedestrians safe on their journey to and from school. You will assist across Broadwell Road at the Easterside crossing each morning and afternoon during term time.

Training will be provided; a calm, reliable approach and awareness of the Highway Code are advantageous. The role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time only, with full uniform provided.

Responsibilities

• Help children and pedestrians cross the road safely at Broadwell Road, Easterside.
• Assist at the crossing point each morning and afternoon during term time.
• Maintain a calm, reliable presence to support the school community.

We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure team as a School Crossing Patrol Officer.

If you enjoy working outdoors, meeting people and would like to provide a valuable service to the community, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a calm, reliable, enthusiastic School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team helping to keep our children and pedestrians safe on their school journey, assisting children and adults across the road on their way to and from school each morning and afternoon during school term times.

You will primarily be serving the school community of Easterside at the crossing point on Broadwell Road. An awareness of the Highway Code, together with experience of working with children and young people, would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given. Full uniform, including waterproof clothing will be provided.

Please note that this post is 10 hours per week - 08:10 - 09:10 & 14:45 - 15:45 Monday - Friday working term time only.
