Job summary

Middlesbrough Development Corporation is seeking a School Crossing Patrol Officer to help keep children and pedestrians safe on their school journey. You will assist at Pallister Park crossing on Homerton Road, outside Pallister Park Primary School, during the specified morning and afternoon slots.

The role emphasizes calm reliability and a friendly approach. Full training is provided, and a uniform will be supplied; apply to join a team dedicated to community safety during school term times.

Qualifications

• Awareness of the Highway Code is advantageous.
• Experience with children and young people is beneficial.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist children and adults to cross the road safely at the Pallister Park crossing during school hours.
• Support the safety and smooth flow of pedestrians at the crossing in the morning and afternoon on school days.

Job description

We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure team as a School Crossing Patrol Officer.

If you enjoy working outdoors, meeting people and would like to provide a valuable service to the community, then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a calm, reliable, enthusiastic School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team helping to keep our children and pedestrians safe on their school journey, assisting children and adults across the road on their way to and from school each morning and afternoon during school term times. You will primarily be serving the school community of Pallister Park at the crossing point on Homerton Road, outside of the school. An awareness of the Highway Code, together with experience of working with children and young people, would be advantageous although not essential as full training will be given. Full uniform, including waterproof clothing will be provided.

Please note that this post is 10 hours per week - 08:10 - 09:10 & 14:45 - 15:45 Monday - Friday, working term time only.
