Job summary

The Lowry Academy is seeking a confident and proactive Cover Manager to coordinate and lead daily cover operations within our secondary school. You will oversee the Cover Supervisor team, deploy staff efficiently, and deliver pre-prepared lessons while upholding high behavioural standards.

This role offers term-time hours, a permanent contract, and opportunities for ongoing CPD within a supportive multi-academy trust. Start date ASAP, salary within UL Band 4.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school environment.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage daily cover arrangements and supervise staff.
• Line-manage Cover Supervisor team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cover arrangements across the school.
• Supervise Cover Supervisors when required.
• Line manage the Cover Supervisor team.
• Ensure effective deployment of staff and delivery of lessons.
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour and engagement.
