Job summary

The Leigh Academy Mascalls in Tonbridge is seeking a dedicated Cover Manager to oversee daily staff absence cover and support classroom learning.

You will have opportunities to deliver cover lessons, lead set work, foster a positive learning environment and respond to student needs while upholding academy policies.

This permanent role offers an actual salary of £22,575–£24,496 p.a. (£27,747–£30,108 FTE), 35 hours per week, term time plus one inset, with LGPS and MAT benefits.

Job description

In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for managing the smooth allocation of daily cover for staff absences across the academy, ensuring our students consistently receive the support they need. You'll also have the opportunity to deliver cover lessons yourself, gaining valuable, direct classroom experience. This includes leading set work, fostering a positive learning environment, and responding to student needs, all while upholding academy policies. This position is ideal for someone:
