We are excited to advertise the role of School Counsellor (Part-Time), a key position within our Pastoral Team.

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified counsellor or psychotherapist with recognized credentials in counselling or psychotherapy.
• Registered or accredited with BACP, UKCP, or an equivalent professional body.
• Familiar with safeguarding policies and trained in safeguarding practices relevant to educational settings.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-to-one therapeutic support to children and adolescents.
• Adhering to ethical frameworks of BACP or UKCP.
• Collaborating with a counselling team and liaising with parents and staff as necessary, respecting confidentiality.
• Coordinating with external agencies like CAMHS, GPs, and psychiatrists to ensure student well-being.
• Maintaining confidential records and complying with safeguarding policies.
• Having professional indemnity insurance and engaging in external clinical supervision.

Thomas’s College offers a dedicated counselling environment and a collaborative team. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Pastoral Care and Student Experience.
