Hours: 30 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8am - 2pm

About the Role

We are seeking a School Cook to join our team at The Holden School, part of Acorn Education. The role involves planning and preparing high-quality food, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus considering dietary needs
• Monitor stocks and manage budgets
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards
• Prepare for daily and weekly demands
• Minimize waste
• Provide suitable food for staff and students with dietary requirements

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge of catering practices and food safety
• Experience in catering within educational or similar settings
• Experience in menu planning and staff supervision
