Job summary

Derby City Council is seeking a reliable cleaner for Cavendish Close Infant and Nursery School, Derby. The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6:24pm, totaling 12 hours per week. It is a fixed-term post from asap until 22 December 2027, with potential to become permanent.

Experience in a school or similar setting is advantageous. The successful candidate will work under the Site Manager and School Business Team, with training provided on health and safety practices including COSHH.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy skills: read and understand policies, procedures and training materials.
• Basic IT skills: complete essential online training required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Support cleaning duties at Cavendish Close Infant and Nursery School.
• Work under the direction of the Site Manager and School Business Team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in line with COSHH awareness and training.
