Job summary

Amey is seeking a permanent Cleaner/Housekeeper to join the Castle Douglas Primary School contract in Castle Douglas DG7 1JA. This part-time role pays £13.45 per hour and runs 15 hours per week on-site, with shifts from 15:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday.

You will deliver cleaning services to contractual standards, manage stock and consumables, operate machinery safely, and maintain high standards of health and safety while supporting local carbon reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass enhanced PVG check.
• Experience using chemicals and machinery safely.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Good customer service and positive work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables
• Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
• Ensure a high-quality service is provided to the building users at all times ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
• Support local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner.
