Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking a reliable School Cleaner to join a school cleaning team. You will maintain cleanliness of classrooms, corridors and facilities, following schedules and safety guidelines. Training provided.

The role requires punctuality, independence to manage daily tasks, and a strong focus on hygiene. Prior cleaning experience is welcome but not essential, as on-site training will be supplied.

• Sanitise showers and indoor sports facilities.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety.
• Operate cleaning equipment including scrubber dryers.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete areas to a high standard.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Cleaner to join a school cleaning team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school, ensuring that classrooms, toilets, corridors and communal areas are kept clean, safe and presentable.

You will be allocated a specific area to clean each day, with all relevant training provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks, cubicles, floors, soap dispensers and hand dryers.
• Hoover, sweep and mop floors throughout the school.
• Clean classrooms, corridors, staff rooms, offices and school halls.
• Wipe down desks, shelves, window sills and other surfaces.
• Sanitise showers, changing rooms and indoor sports facilities.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and health and safety.
• Use cleaning equipment, including scrubber dryer machines where required.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all allocated areas are completed to a high standard.
