Job summary

St Joseph's Specialist Trust is seeking a General Assistant (Cleaning) to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment across our site, including offices, classrooms, washrooms and residential areas. You will manage cleaning supplies, handle chemicals safely and respond quickly to spills, with deep cleaning scheduled as required.

The role supports laundry, waste and recycling tasks and assists with general estates duties within a semi-rural campus near Surrey Hills.

As a General Assistant (Cleaning), you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment across our site. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out a variety of practical cleaning tasks across offices, classrooms, washrooms and residential areas.
• Managing stock of cleaning supplies and handling chemical safely.
• Responding promptly to spills and incidents
• Completing deep cleaning in line with schedules and specifications
• Supporting laundry, waste and recycling tasks
• Assisting with general estates and facilities duties as part of the wider team.
  
  You will be physically, mentally and emotionally resilient, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Due to our semi-rural location, own transport is preferred.
