Job summary

The Supply Register Ltd. is seeking School Cleaners to support local schools in Skegness, helping maintain a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment for students and staff.

Schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, with term-time flexibility and competitive pay. DBS checks and references are required; previous school or commercial cleaning is advantageous, with emphasis on health and safety, hygiene and diligence.

Qualifications

• Must have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
• Must be able to provide two professional references which cover the last 24 months of work/study periods.
• Previous cleaning or caretaker experience within a school or commercial setting is ideal, though a strong work ethic and attention to detail are most important.

Responsibilities

• Undertake cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, and polishing in designated classrooms, corridors, and communal areas.
• Clean and sanitize washrooms, toilets, and kitchen facilities to high hygiene standards.
• Safely handle, use, and store cleaning equipment and chemical products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish correctly and responsibly.
• Report any maintenance issues, repairs, or hazards immediately to the appropriate school personnel.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations at all times.
• Undertake such duties as may be considered appropriate by the Premises Manager or School Leadership in line with the needs of the service.
