Job summary

Claremont School is seeking a reliable Site Cleaner to join our facilities team. The role covers cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices and other areas, on a 25-hour per week schedule (5 hours per day).

You will follow COSHH and health and safety procedures, assist with deep cleans during holidays, and coordinate with the evening cleaning team and maintenance colleagues to keep the site spotless and secure.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices, and other areas of the school as directed.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty and clean bins, disposing of waste safely.
• Refill soap, paper towel, and toilet roll dispensers as required.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors at safe heights.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report faults or shortages.
• Follow COSHH and health and safety procedures.
• Secure areas after cleaning to maintain site security.
• Report damages, hazards, or maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with deep cleans during school holidays or as required.
• Support the wider facilities team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the site.
• Co-ordinate notes with the evening cleaning team.
• Co-ordinate stock levels with the maintenance team.

• Assist with occasional deep cleans during school holidays or as required.
• Support the wider facilities team in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness across the school site.
