Job summary

Camden Learning is seeking a reliable part-time cleaner to join our school facilities team. You will clean classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas to a high standard, vacuum and mop floors, and report hazards promptly.

The role is a fixed-term contract running until September 2026, based on site in Greater London. You will work during school hours, maintain hygiene standards, and follow health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, communal areas and other designated areas of the school to a high standard.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop and dust floors and surfaces as required.
• Clean and sanitise toilets, sinks and other frequently used areas.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Clean and maintain furniture, fixtures, fittings and other surfaces as required.
• Use cleaning products, equipment and materials safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Report any damage, hazards, maintenance issues or shortages of cleaning supplies to the Headteacher.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely and securely after use.
• Work efficiently and manage time effectively to complete all allocated cleaning duties within the working hours.
• Contribute as a member of the school team to the ethos and environment of the school.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times and follow the school's policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety.
• Be flexible in undertaking other reasonable duties which correspond to the general character and level of responsibility of the post.
