Job summary

Enhance Catering are recruiting experienced and reliable School Chefs to support catering operations across our school sites. You will prepare fresh meals for pupils and staff, manage daily kitchen operations, and ensure high hygiene standards.

This role offers daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with approximately 6 hours per day, no evenings or weekends, and a dedicated consultant to help you find placements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef, Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or School Chef.
• Strong cooking skills and confidence working independently.
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Immediate availability is a strong advantage.
• Drivers with access to their own transport are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for pupils and staff.
• Working independently and managing daily kitchen operations.
• Organising food preparation and ensuring a smooth lunch service.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation of all meals.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently.
