Job summary

Enhance Catering is recruiting School Cooks to lead catering operations for school sites with a September start. Competitive hourly pay of £19–£25, with a mix of temporary and permanent roles across Kent, and a focus on fresh, high-quality food and strong team leadership.

Successful candidates will manage day-to-day operations, ensure food safety compliance, and foster positive relationships with onsite stakeholders while maintaining stock control and kitchen organisation.

Enhance Catering is recruiting School Cooks to lead the catering operations for our client's school sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, hands‑on chef's who enjoys leading a team, working with fresh ingredients, and delivering a high‑quality food service.

We are recruiting for a September start with a lot of ongoing temporary and permanent roles available across Kent. Pay will be £19 to £25 an hour.

What You'll be doing

• Lead and manage the day-to-day catering operation
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal food to a consistently high standard
• Manage, motivate, and develop the kitchen team
• Ensure full compliance with all food safety, health & safety, and due diligence requirements
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with onsite stakeholders and clients
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
• Drive food quality, consistency, and presentation
