We are hiring: Catering Manager

Join us at Chartwells, part of Compass Group UK&I, as an experienced Catering Manager passionate about exceptional food and customer service. This full-time role involves overseeing all catering and service operations, with a contracted 35 hours per week.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Preparing high-standard food
2. Supervising culinary and catering teams to ensure quality and service excellence
3. Managing operations, inventories, budgets, and implementing action plans
4. Monitoring KPIs and targets through regular communication with your line manager
5. Representing the company and maintaining a positive brand image
6. Driving sales through new food or service concepts
7. Ensuring customer satisfaction by liaising between clients and teams
8. Training and supporting team members to excel
9. Maintaining health & safety standards across all teams

Ideal candidate profile:

• Passionate about great food and service
• Minimum two years of catering experience
• Experience managing teams in similar roles
• NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 qualifications
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Strong financial skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ambitious and eager to upskill

This role involves working 5 out of 7 days, contracted for 47 weeks per year. The shift pattern and further details will be discussed during the interview process.
