Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen with basic food preparation and excellent service during lunchtimes. You will work on tills during service, provide friendly customer service to students and staff, and assist the team with food prep.

Training is provided for the till and Health & Safety basics. You’ll enjoy Monday–Friday school term hours, a 32.5-hour week across 38 weeks per year, and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Qualifications

• You’re a team player and thrive as part of a busy team.
• You have previous catering or fast-paced service experience.
• You have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation during service.
• Provide friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Assist with tills and service during the lunch rush.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment and follow health and safety rules.
