Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We’re seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service that makes the lunchtime rush run smoothly.

You’ll interact with customers at tills, provide friendly service to students and staff, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen. Training is provided where needed, and DBS disclosure may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Willingness to undertake DBS disclosure where required.
• Training provided for service and food handling.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service with training provided.
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Keeping a safe, clean kitchen environment and following Health and Safety compliance.
